For example yesterday morning she chose a pink cupcake print long-sleeve footed pajama to wear along with her Lightning McQueen shirt. When I wouldn't put the pajamas on her because it's 100 degrees outside she became quite upset. We compromised:
She was quite content to wear the pajamas tied around her waist. When it was time to run errands, she refused to leave the pajamas home. She wore them to the post office, to Target and the mall. We're becoming those people, the ones whose children leave the house in Batman capes, tutus and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle costumes. But if she can't freely wear whatever she wants now when is she ever going to?
Note: Daddy's shoes were not worn to the store. |
