The cucumbers, corn and green beans that I have babied during the past hot, dry month have succumbed to the heat and lack of water. Now all that is left are some assorted pepper plants and tomatoes. Hopefully they hang on.
...And, sadly, yesterday I had to buy cucumbers at the store for the kids to eat. It was quite painful.
