Almost Home Again

I just spoke to Ryan. He said they are back in town and he should be home sometime this afternoon. I think he wants to watch the K-State game and have pizza tonight. I'm okay with that- as long as we are able to be together again.

Going Home

I leave behind a broken shell and those who love me so.
I hear them tell me it's okay, and urge me to let go.

The angels sing, my Savior beckons, to His arms I fly.
Wrapped in His love, unspeakable joy, I find beyond the sky.

A joyful shout, hosannas ring out, as I stand beside His throne,
He hugs me tight and smiles at me and tells me "Welcome Home!"

I can't believe I'm finally here; the journey has been so long;
I worship Him, my God and King and join the angel's song.

Two small children run to greet me with a great big smile,
"Uncle Ryan, we're so glad you're here; we've been waiting for awhile."

I lift them up and hold them tight and tell them they are loved,
They laugh and tell me that they know, "we've been watching from above."

They take my hands and lead me out through the throne room door,
And as I look beyond the streets of gold my heart begins to soar.

We race across the grass and sand until we find the perfect place,
We build castles in the sand so big; they can be seen 'cross time and space.'

The clouds roll back, the trumpet sounds, Satan lets out a groan,
Our Savior smiles and looks at me and says "It's time to bring them home!"

Our hearts leap with joy, we run so fast, for this we can't be late,
We're standing there to greet our loved ones, just outside the Eastern Gate.
