Giddy

This morning I woke up at 1am giddy with excitement because I could hear rain pounding on the roof.  It has been so long since we've had a heavy rain.  We truly needed it.  Of course at 2am I was no longer giddy and wanted to go back to sleep.

It was still wet and started raining again after I woke up for the day.  Even better it's not supposed to be 110 today, we're only supposed to get to 87.  What a nice break from the sweltering, miserable heat.  It was too hot for me to even want to set up the kid's pool in the afternoons.

After a week of heavily watering with the sprinkler and last night's rain, our fence is solid again.  And just maybe my garden isn't ready to give up the dream yet.
