Concrete

I was trying to find some before pictures of the area where we had concrete poured, but the only ones I have are the ones I took when Ryan was pulling up the pavers.  We're not sure why the builder didn't expand the concrete in the first place or why the previous owners put down a small area of pavers.  It looked awful.  The pavers were installed incorrectly and were moving around when the ground froze in the winter.  The area under our stairs was muddy and full of weeds.

Having the concrete pad expanded has changed things for the better.

We are so glad to have paid all of that money for a place to stick the trampoline.

Our new mud pit.  Hopefully the grass grows through that dirt soon.

I have a new garden area I need to plant between the concrete and the retaining wall.

It's so nice to be rid of the weed and mud mess that used to be under the stairs.

Our last outdoor project for this year is to terrace the side of the house.

We have had some water issues, dog run issues, and lack of sun growing grass issues.  We will be making steps along the side of the house.  Ryan has already rerouted gutters and diverted them into a rain barrel to help solve some of the water issues.  I'm excited to see this area turns out.
