I have no intention of crushing the spirit, personality or dreams of my children. Sometimes that means allowing a three year old to dress herself. Sometimes that also means being seen in public with that same three year old and her unique fashion sense.

This was her swimsuit of choice for this year. I showed her two other
swimsuits and told her to pick one. She saw this and was insistent that
this was the swimsuit for her.
She wore this particular ensemble to Target. I think she had monkeys in her purse.
Her favorite colors are pink and purple. She likes to wear them often, together.
The other morning she was wearing a nightgown and told Ryan she was cold. He told her to go put on pants and a shirt. When she came out of her room dressed like this he asked her why she was still wearing her nightgown. Her response, "Because I wanted to." It's hard to argue with the logic of a three year old.
